Bonita

Pretty Bonita has spent her life walking the street and having puppies.  She had an ‘owner; but that person didn’t believe she should be allowed in the house and didn’t have any way to secure her, and thought it was ok for her to just roam.  How she escaped being hit by a vehicle is a miracle.  In early April 2024 the person called us because she wanted the puppies ‘removed’.  the poor puppies we infested with ticks, but we cleaned them up and they are safe with us (Alex and Zander).  After considerable debate, we were finally allowed to also take Bonita.  She is now safe, happy and spayed!

Bonita is a sweet girl, medium to low energy.  She’s calm and loving and would cuddle all day.  She does have a good appetite and will eat everyone’s food if not supervised. After a life of drudgery, it’s time now for Bonita to have some fun.  She would be fine in a home with children.  She could live with other dogs, cats or be an only dog – all she wants is love and kindness.  When first rescued she spent a night in a crate and was peaceful and relaxed, no crying.  We are looking forward to seeing Bonita living the life she deserves.  Her pictures here don’t do her justice; she’s a beautiful girl with pretty eyes.

Bonita is approximately 15lbs.
