Cobalt

- Date Adopted: March 27, 2026
Cobalt’s story is one of survival and transformation. He was rescued from near death—starving and tied up by someone who fed him only every other week (as the earlier pictures in the gallery show). But since arriving at Ocean Acres, Cobalt has regained his strength, his spirit, and his stunning good looks.
This big, handsome boy has had some training and responds beautifully. He walks well on a leash and isn’t reactive to dogs he passes by, though he cannot be trusted around cats. What truly defines Cobalt is his love for people—he’s a massive cuddle bug who melts into affection, despite his size. He takes treats gently and thrives on human connection.
Cobalt doesn’t try to escape his pen like some larger dogs do, but he does need a secure, well-fenced home with no other pets. He’d love a family who will continue his training and shower him with the attention he craves. Whether living indoors or out, he’ll need guidance on house manners, as he’s always lived outside—but his eagerness to please makes him a quick learner.
Affectionate, loyal, and ready to be someone’s best friend—Cobalt is waiting for the home he’s always deserved.
Cobalt is approximately 85lbs
