More About Empress

Empress and her two daughters (from two different litters) were surrendered to us by someone that could no longer afford to care for them.  They hadn’t suffered any kind of abuse and were in good condition, maybe a little underweight.

They have been living in a foster home together with one of our wonderful devoted foster parents. Empress is a sweet, calm girl.  Very self-sustaining. She’s on the quieter side, and very well settled.  She is happy to be by herself, but also enjoys watching her daughters Doppsie and Rona playing.  She loves to chase the birds, but we have not seen her actually catch any and have never found any in the yard, so we think she just is intrigued by them and enjoys the chase!  While she is on the quieter side, she is tolerant of some attention and affection but doesn’t seem to need a lot in the way of cuddling, she’s very independent.  She is very trusting and friendly, and has not had any territorial issues with strangers coming into the yard, good with people.  She has been tested with larger children and gets on well, has not had much interaction with smaller children.  Neither she or her pups have any food aggression issues, they all have separate bowls but are happy to share and wander amongst each other’s dishes.  She has had limited interaction with other dogs through a gate and there’s never been any signs of aggression, only interest.  She will make someone a beautiful friend and companion.
