More About Etta

Little Etta came to us with her mother (Eden) and brother (Elias) in July 2023.  They were living wild and scared on the streets.  People were generally unpleasant to them, throwing stones and shouting; so naturally, none of them were keen to give themselves up to us.  With perseverance we managed to catch them.  Little Etta was the most scared and took the longest to feel safe.  she’s coming along nicely now.  She lives with her mother, brother and an older pup of Eden’s from a litter before that we also managed to catch (Ezra).

At time of writing (August 2023) Etta is still a little bit hesitant, but so much better than she was.  She will now accept strokes and most important, is happy, smiling and excited to see people.  It’s just a matter of time for her to totally forget her old ways and embrace the company of caring humans.  At the moment she could only be adopted to a home with people who had some experience of nurturing nervous pups, and helping them gain confidence.  She would also benefit from another dog in the home and she isn’t ready for excitable children.  She would be considered a flight risk at this point in time, so a secure home would be essential.

Do check in with us about her progress if we haven’t updated this profile, because she is improving every day.

Etta will be a small dog.
