Geena

**UPDATE – Geena has been adopted! She travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Geena was rescued in Feb 2023 along with Gordon , Geeta and Gaynor from a very unsuitable home, where they were all kept in wooden boxes.  They received little exercise and even less love and attention.  They were all sad and depressed. Once we got them to Ocean acres, they perked up and started to show their personalities.

Geena is really happy and confident around dogs, so a home with at least one other dog would be best for her, to give her the confidence and security she needs right now.  She has improved with her interaction with people and gets better each day.  She does now enjoy a cuddle and doesn’t mind being picked up.  She would be ok with kids of any age, she is certainly not a danger to anyone.  At the moment she would be best suited to a fairly calm environment without too much excitement or wild children!  Geena is gentle and kind.  She has never lived in a house but she does spend some time in the office at Ocean Acres.  She will need some support to help her adjust and a quiet, safe space to relax.  She does enjoy the outdoors, so a garden would be nice for her, at least until she’s worked out how to take up all the space on the sofa!
