Ken

**UPDATE – Ken has been adopted! He travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Ken was surrendered at the end of July 2023, along with his friend Barbie.  They came from a home where they were neglected; they were underweight and covered in ticks.

Both of these dogs have the sweetest nature.  Despite being whisked away from their familiar surroundings, bundled into a car and driven to Ocean Acres, they coped very well with the 3 hour tick removing session! Surrounded by interfering and curious cats, they were bathed and combed and we did our best to make them more comfortable.  Then they met a bunch of new dogs!  They too it all in their stride, albeit momentarily apprehensive at times.  After just a nights sleep they were behaving as if they belonged.

Ken and Barbie are such a cute little pair.  They love attention and grooming.  They very quickly learned to walk on a lead and are doing everything in their power to make themselves as adoptable as possible!  They are absolutely fine around children and cats.  We don’t think they have ever lived inside a house, so would need some help adjusting to that, but from what we’ve seen, they are very quick learners!

They are quite a pair and have been together for some time.  It would be lovely for them to be adopted together, but it’s not essential.
