From the day we took over in January 2020, every day has been a challenge with new dogs, puppies, cats and kittens arriving daily. There are no quiet, easy days. We have tears of sorrow and tears of joy, often in the same day. Every effort is made to answer each call, giving advice and support day and night. We always exceed our maximum capacity, our occupancy changes daily, sheltering in the region of 150 dogs and 250 cats. It costs us on average US$31,250 every month. We need your help to continue. The Future – Ocean Acres
We intend to hugely reduce the stray dog and cat population of Barbados which is currently out of control. It is an IMMENSE task. We will shine light on the darker aspects of society, educate, encourage, and support. We will not rest while these innocent and loving dogs and cats are suffering, homeless and confused; wounded and exhausted and desperately wondering where on earth they can find shelter and safety and peace.
