More About Mercy

**UPDATE – Mercy has been adopted! She travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Mercy was abandoned by her human family, who relocated and left her alone with her 5 puppies. Her story is a sad one.  Mercy left the confinement of the unsanitary yard where her pups were and made her way to the streets to find food. Unfortunately, her pups followed her, and one was instantly killed by a car. Another pup was taken away from her by a stranger and the 3 remaining were also taken away, way sooner than they should have left their mother. By the time we received the call and went in search of Mercy and the puppies on November 10 2023, there were no puppies to be found.

Mercy was found alone and sorrowful, we could see in her eyes intense sadness; after all she was abandoned and then to top that off her puppies were taken away and she was left all alone.

Despite what she was feeling, she came to us with her tail wagging. On November 11, Mercy began her new beginning in a loving and caring environment. She no longer had to scavenge for food.

Mercy is very affectionate and gentle; she enjoys having her head massaged and she expresses her affection by licking your hands and extending her paw to you.

Mercy will be super easy to take care of and we believe she will fit nicely into a home.  If ever a dog deserved some love and a second chance it’s Mercy.

Mercy is approximately 35lbs.
