More About Monica

Monica is one of 6 pups (Dave, Jim, Tom, Samuel, Mary) rescued from very unpleasant surroundings (the last picture in the gallery shows where we found them) – along with their mum Alison and her sister Jackie

All of these pups are shy.  They were not socialized at all as young pups and kept in a dark shed.  Since they have been with us they have been fostered at a stable yard and they have grown in size and in confidence, enjoying the fresh air and running about and playing.  They still have a way to go in terms of their rehabilitation.  They have never lived in a house and they have always been together.  They are ready now to split up and move onto the next steps of their development.

Even at their most scared they were never snappy and made no effort to bite, even when we had to catch them and they were terrified.  Now they are very happy, their tails wag and they love their environment and their daily routine living at the stables.  They are used to people Monica is getting more confident every day.

Monica would need to go to a patient and experienced home where she could learn.  She would benefit from the company of another calm friendly confident dog and a home with older children only.  Care would need to be taken as she would be considered a ‘flight risk’ especially until she had settled into a new home.

Monica is approximately 12lbs
