Pluto

**UPDATE – Pluto has been adopted! He travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Pluto is always smiling! He’s seems very happy to be with us at Ocean Acres. He was found on July 1, 2022 which was a very rainy day here in Barbados. He was roaming in an area where there are no houses. We think he likely was dumped there or possibly just had been on that road for quite some time. He is quite skinny but has a healthy appetite, so now that he has regular meals and a safe place to sleep he will gain condition and look like his best self in no time. He was a little nervous at first when he was caught, and sadly, that’s probably because he hasn’t had much experience with humans being nice to him. It did not take long to convince, just a few find words and a tin of wet food, and he happily allowed himself to be scooped up by his rescuer and brought to us here at OA. He has not stopped laughing and smiling since. He’s a very friendly boy with people and dogs alike, and he doesn’t even seem to mind cats. He will be neutered as soon as he’s put on a little more weight. At healthy weight he will be about 28 lbs. We love seeing his smiling face around here, come and meet him – he will bring love and bright smiles to any home 🙂
