Shontelle

Shontelle was in a terrible state when we got the call about her, in March 2023.  She had turned up in someone’s yard – like so many do.  She was very thin and her skin was a dreadful mess.

After a check over at the vet, she came to Ocean Acres and began her recovery.  At first she was quiet, and very tired.  Steadily she improved, gained condition and is now the beautiful dog you can see in the photos.

Shontelle loves people, she loves attention and affection.  During her time with us, she has lived and shared her space quite happily with other dogs, she is most happy to share with a larger, male dog. She is not a dog that can easily mix straight away with any dogs, it has to be one that is equal to her.  Shontelle would not be a candidate for dogs parks or random unmanaged introductions.  She is reactive towards the cats we have; so a cat free home is required.  We suggest she would be better with older children because of her size and she is sometimes excited to see people.

Shontelle is approximately 46lbs
