More About Sundae

This is a dog from Woodbourne Kennels and Rescue.  We are helping to rehome these dogs. In early September 2023, Dorin Boyce, the proprietor of the kennels, suffered a horrendous attack in her home and was robbed.  She has been badly hurt and hospitalized.  This is a huge blow to all of us, but massively so for the dogs of Woodbourne.  They need all the help they can get.  Please consider adopting a Woodbourne dog.

Sundae is a beauty.  She was surrendered by her owner.  She has a noticeable old injury to her right fore leg (believed broken wrist) and she holds her paw at an angle.  Not sure if this causes pain but she runs like the wind. She was shy/nervous on arrival, the owner’s husband very harsh with her.  She was fearful of everyone but now is socialised with WBK staff and seems fine with new people she meets.  She has a habit of licking surfaces; she doesn’t damage them, just licks.  This can be down to stress related issues in the past and the licking is a self soothing mechanism.

Sundae is food aggressive towards other dogs, though her manner is deceptive, as though butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth!!  We would suggest she lives as an only dog or with a carefully introduced similar sized dog; definitely not small dogs.   She should always be fed separately.

Sundae has had a hard time and we really hope someone will give her a chance.

Sundae is approximately 59lbs
