More About Amika

One of our volunteers told us about Amika.  She was living in the community in deplorable conditions, chained and with a bad skin infection and flea allergy.  She was surrendered to us and her recovery began.  She was very thin.  It didn’t take her long to improve and now she looks beautiful.  Amika loves people and cannot get enough attention.  She is affectionate and loving.  Amika would suit a home where she is an only dog as she can tolerate other dogs, and goes for walks with them, but she likes people more.  We don’t leave her unsupervised with other dogs.  There are dogs on the other side of the fence where she lives and she is getting more used to their close proximity, so this is something that could improve.  She is not a fan of cats and would chase.  Amika would be ok crated for short periods of time.  She walks nicely on a lead and enjoys going out with volunteers.

Amika has been adopted in Canada!

Amika is approximately 24lbs
