More About Clarence

Clarence was living in dreadful conditions and was extremely underweight.  A good hearted relative of his ‘owner’ contacted us, and after much discussion it was finally agreed that Clarence would be surrendered to us in June 2023.  He was very glad to be rescued and even more glad to have a decent dinner!

Clarence is a calm and easy dog.  He loves his humans, and likes nothing more than spending time with them, either walking or snuggling.  He is easy to take for a walk, he doesn’t pull and anyone could walk him.  Clarence is not reactive to other dogs when out and about, in fact he barely looks at them.  He has been to events with us with other dogs and lots of people of all ages and behaved perfectly.  What we have found is that he likes to eat alone.  He would be perfect as an only dog.  If monitored we think in time he could learn to share and live with other dogs, but we don’t feel comfortable to leave him unsupervised at this stage.  He would not be a candidate for dog parks, but he can walk on leash with other dogs quite happily.

He would be a perfect companion in any type of home, apartment or house with garden, he is not nervous of traffic.  He’s a calm and confident boy.  He’s been with us for much too long now so we really hope he gets a chance to move on soon.

(note that Clarence has extra dew claws – you can see on some of the pictures.)

Clarence is approximately 33lbs
