Fernando

Fernando’s journey is one of survival and resilience. Reported to us as a young dog who had been hit by a car and left untreated for at least a month, we found him in a terrible state — emaciated and struggling to walk. He was taken straight to the vet, where it was clear he needed an amputation. With care and time, Fernando recovered beautifully and has since become a much-loved member of the Ocean Acres family.

Sadly, Fernando has been overlooked through no fault of his own. He gets along well with other dogs and has watched many of his friends go off to their forever homes while he remains behind. At events and tea parties, he’s a favorite — calm, gentle, and always well-behaved. Above all, Fernando is a cuddle bug. He loves nothing more than lying next to someone, soaking up affection and love.

He walks nicely on a lead, doesn’t need a lot of exercise, and could happily live as the only dog or alongside others. All Fernando asks for is love and comfort — something he was denied in his early years. It’s time for this special boy to finally have the forever home and family he so deserves.
