Hazel

Hazel was abandoned by her person and left chained in a dog house, surviving only on scraps of food from a kind neighbor who eventually reached out for help. That call brought Hazel safely to Ocean Acres, where her life took a brighter turn. On arrival, Hazel was underweight, but her spirit was unbroken. She quickly settled in, showing us her happy, affectionate nature. Hazel loves people and enjoys her walks, making her a wonderful companion for anyone who wants a loyal friend by their side.

With medium energy, Hazel would thrive in a home with other dogs or as the center of attention on her own. She hasn’t yet been tested with cats, but we’ll confirm that soon. Once she reaches her healthy weight, she’ll be about 32 lbs — the perfect size for cuddles and adventures.

Hazel is approx 2 years old, spayed, healthy, and ready to move on to her next chapter. What she needs now is a loving home where she’ll never be left behind again.
