Lyra

Lyra’s story is one of resilience and love. She came to us skeletal thin, bravely caring for her three puppies while living a tough life. Once her little ones were old enough to thrive on their own, Lyra was finally able to focus on herself. With good care, she quickly gained weight and now looks wonderful.

Lyra is a confident, friendly girl who adores people and enjoys her walks. She walks beautifully on leash and has a calm, medium energy level. She’s not overly excitable, but she would happily join you as a hiking or jogging companion if that’s your lifestyle. Just as easily, she’s content to soak up attention and enjoy a gentle stroll.

She gets along well with other dogs and could thrive either as an only dog or as part of a multi-dog household. At around 28 pounds and just 2 years old, Lyra is fit, healthy, and ready to begin her new life.
