Nola’s past was heartbreaking. She came from the worst life imaginable. When we found her, she was chained with a heavy chain in the equivalent of a pig pen, trying to care for her tiny newborn puppies while she herself was thin as a skeleton. We rescued her and her pups immediately, but tragically, despite our best efforts, all of the puppies passed away.
Nola, however, survived. With care, she gained weight, grew strong, and never lost her joyful spirit. Today she is a stunning, fit, and healthy dog who greets everyone with happiness.

Nola has a lively, high‑energy personality and will thrive in a home where she can channel that energy into play, exercise, and adventure. Nola responds very well to training, and it would be wonderful for her to continue her lessons in her new home. She loves going on walks. She pulls in a normal flat collar, but with a gentle leader halter, she walks like a little lamb. She is happy to have the halter on and it makes walking with her an absolute delight.
Because she is clever and athletic, Nola can jump fences and escape, so she cannot be left outside unattended. She has partnered with other dogs while at Ocean Acres, but she is selective about her companions. She would be a great only dog, and she definitely cannot live with cats. She has never lived in a house but she could transition to do so with support. He brother, Nolan, is now living as an indoor dog and doing very well.
Nola is ready for a fresh start. She adores people and is waiting for a family who will give her the love, freedom, and companionship she deserves.
Nola is approximately 70lbs
