More About Nolan

This big, handsome boy had a hard life until he came to us. He could be the poster boy for abuse; skeletal thin, chained and living in a filthy small pen. All that is behind him now and he is looking for a perfect match up for his next step. Nolan walks on a leash, and is suited to exercise and a routine. He is very friendly toward humans, will gently take treats from your hand and has good manners when up close. He would be your protector in terms of letting you know if anyone was around, he has a strong bark! Nolan would look out for you. In terms of children, Nolan is not aggressive toward people, but small children might be knocked over if they are not properly monitored or dog savvy; and he has not had experience living with children.

We have small dogs that would go up against his door and he would talk to them, he wasn’t reactive to them at all, but we don’t feel comfortable leaving him loose or unsupervised with dogs, other than the ones we have him matched with. He currently lives with a medium sized spayed female dog.

Wherever he goes to live next, he would need a secure place, because he can escape/jump out. A lot of this ‘escaping’ is often to do with boredom and the desire to be with people or to be more stimulated. Obviously with 150 dogs to look after, we can’t give him one to one attention. Nolan has never lived in a house before but we think he would like to be around people, and have a routine. Training would be good for him, he would enjoy it and it would give him security and guidelines to work with. Nolan has huge potential – and very beautiful eyes! If you have the commitment and dedication to give this boy a chance you would have a friend for life.

Nolan is approximately 75lbs
