Sandie

Sandie is an extremely loving girl who has spent her whole life living rough, on the beach; fending for herself and having puppies.

We rescued her in July 2023, along with her new born babies.  Her puppies have all gone on to find forever homes and Sandie remains with us.  It’s time for her now to have a family and a home of her own, and some comfort at last.  Sandie gets along well with other dogs but we have conflicting reports of her with cats, so best to assume she isn’t suited to live with them.  It took Sandie a while to get the hang of walking along the road, she was scared of passing traffic – probably due to her street life and having to learn to keep well away from vehicles.  She is fine with this now, she likes the person she’s walking with the be confident and then she feels ok.

We would say that Sandie is a fairly low energy dog, she loves to take a nap in a nice shady spot – although she does like to play with her dog friends as well.  she’s never had a human of her own, she’s had a hard life until she came to us.  She doesn’t ask for much, give her a cuddle and a tummy rub and she is a happy girl!  We hope this gorgeous girl gets a chance soon.
