Scout

**UPDATE – Scout has been adopted! He travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Scout is such a sweet little guy.  He came to us in September 2023, when we received an urgent call from someone to say their dog had been attacked.  When found his eye was protruding.  We rushed him to the emergency vet, they did a procedure and his eye was saved.  After 7 days at the vet, no further treatment is required.  It was lucky we got him as quickly as we did.

Scout did not come come from a very good home.  He was full of fleas and allowed to roam loose – which enabled him to be attacked by a huge akita (which also belonged to the same family).  Luckily for Scout, his owners have not claimed him and don’t want him back.

In spite of his traumatic episode he’s social and friendly and gets along well with other dogs, preferably smaller ones.  He is also good with cats
He can be a bit shy when meeting other dogs and people at first but warms up very quickly.  He is fairly low energy, enjoys going for walks and loves attention.

Scout is approximately 12lbs
