Scrappy Doo
- Date Adopted: November 26, 2023
**UPDATE – Scrappy-doo has been adopted! He travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.
INFORMATION FROM HIS FOSTER:
Scrappy, as we call him now, showed up skin and bone, in front of our home; despite his awful condition, covered head to tail in ticks, he had a smile and sparkly eyes. (There is a picture in the gallery showing how thin he was.) Knowing that we wouldn’t be able to keep him for long, as we have several dogs and cats already, we had to first get him immediate veterinary care. After an overnight stay at the vet we brought him home to rest, put on weight, and get ready to be adopted by his chosen family. Within just over a week he appears to be a different dog on the outside, and he is now healthy, and continues to be bright happy.
Scrappy has beige/blonde fur, captivating brown eyes, and a sprightly disposition. He is still not quite at his ultimate weight but he is a far cry from the skeleton we first met and improving every day. We wish we could add him to our pack but sadly it isn’t feasible.
He is a very easy dog that would be great with a family with or without other pets. He’d do well with other small-medium sized dogs. He doesn’t mind cats. He’s playful, and will absolutely adore the family that adopts him. He deserves a loving home that can take him on a few short walks during the day and play with him. He will not require extensive walking or entertainment but if provided he will go along “for the ride”.
Whoever adopts Scrappy-doo will be lucky as they will have gained a loyal pet, with an excellent temperament & disposition, as a lifelong friend.
Scrappy Doo is approximately 20lbs
