ANGELICA IS NOT A CANDIDATE FOR AIR TRAVEL

This is Angelica, one of four siblings; the others are Juniper, Anise and  Tobasco – The Spice Pups!

They were surrendered after an unwanted pregnancy. The owner could not care for them. He didn’t want to surrender the mother but we have since managed to get her spayed – so no more puppies.

The pups were quite nervous and unsocialized when they arrived in July 2021.  Angelica is the most nervous of the pups.  She will need an experienced home where she will be given confidence and a calming environment.

She is playful with other dogs and enjoys being outside and running around. However, she is shy and scared of people.  In her early days, when she felt really threatened, she has snapped at people.  As she grows in confidence we believe those ways are behind her.

Angelica doesn’t have any discomfort or aggression issues with food, she can eat easily with other dogs.

Her only challenges are her hesitation and nervousness with humans – she needs a home and a forever family that will understand, and will patiently work with her to develop trust.  She will need time to get comfortable in new surroundings and another dog, or dogs, would be very beneficial to her.  She does enjoy being stroked and petted, but steadily and with respect.  She wouldn’t appreciate surprises and anyone lunging at her, and wouldn’t cope well with excitable children.  Calmness and confidence is the way forward with Angelica.

Angelica is approximately 25lbs.
