Onyx
- Date Adopted: November 26, 2023
**UPDATE – Onyx has been adopted! He travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.
Onyx and his siblings (Coral, Pearl, Zircon, and Opal) were discovered wandering with their mother Diamond, in March 2023. They were just babies and their momma was starving. The owner was found but he didn’t want them, and we were able to take them, clean them up and get them to the vet. Poor Diamond was very poorly and needed a blood transfusion. In spite of this, Diamond had done everything she could to feed her puppies.
Several months on and we have some wonderful young teenagers, looking for their forever home. They have not yet learned to walk on a leash, but are happy to have the leash and collar on, and to tolerate ‘dress up’ days! They are a little bit shy at first, but soon warm up and want to play. They have been together all of their lives, so they would need a little help and comfort in the first days of being split up. It would help them if there was another dog in home, but not absolutely essential if they were well supported and not left alone for long, especially in the early stages. They have never lived in a house and would need to learn rules and toilet training. These are wonderful youngsters with their whole lives ahead of them.
Onyx is approximately 17lbs
