More About Shamari

**UPDATE – Shamari has been adopted! She travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Shamari and her siblings (Maleek, Joshua, Loko and Akin) were rescued along with their mother (Satiah) from underneath a house.  Satiah had decided that having her babies underneath a house, with a very small gap, was a good idea (it was not!).  It was a tricky rescue, but we got them.  They had a rough start, mum was very undernourished, but they have thrived and are now healthy youngsters, looking for a forever home.

They are happy dogs now, not shy at all, they love being around people.  It’s about time they had some lessons, as so far they have been teaching each other!  They have never lived inside a house so would need help with toilet training.  We think all of these guys would fit into any home that is prepared for lots of fun, they still have puppy energy and love to play.  They have lived at Ocean Acres all of their short lives, so would need lots of love to help them adjust.  Another dog in the home would be great, but not essential, so long as they have human company and are not left alone for long periods.  There’s no reason why these can’t be ‘first time’ dogs so long as the family does their research and has some support.  They all have wonderful easy going personalities.

Shamari is approximately 13lbs
