More About Alan

**UPDATE – Alan has been adopted! He travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Alan is a lovely boy who has been with us for way too long. When we took over in 2020, he was there, and he’s still there now.  We don’t know how long he was there before we arrived….  This is just so sad.  For the longest time Alan was best friends with Zoe, they were together when we first met them.  Sadly Zoe died in early 2023 and Alan had to adjust.  He was quite depressed for a few days.  Very soon he was partnered with the lovely Eleanor and he’s happy again.

Alan loves his daily walks, he doesn’t pull on the lead and can be walked by anyone. He doesn’t jump out of his pen or try to escape.  Alan loves people and is super friendly, he also likes his toys and is a big fan of flower pots!  He will take them and collect them, although they are not in great shape when he’s finished with them.  Alan doesn’t like male dogs.  He’s not massively reactive, he will walk past dogs without any fuss, he will go on group walks etc.  But he doesn’t want to be up close with them and he will behave aggressively towards them, if they come to say hello – definitely not a dog park dog.  Even with his ladies, Alan likes a nice organized introduction.  He’s not a dog who will just run with the pack and work it out.  Once introduced and settled, he is the kind of boy who partners long term.

Alan likes to be outdoors and have a little playtime, but he mostly just relaxes all day, he’s a fairly calm kind of boy.  He is fine with children and doesn’t jump up particularly.

We so want Alan to experience a real home and human love and connection.

Alan is approximately 32lbs
