Jazzy

Jazzy didn’t have the best start in life, he lived outside and was tied up with no shelter. He was surrendered to Ocean Acres and happily left behind the dump he was living on, and trotted off with his new foster mum! This handsome 1-year-old, 40-pound boy is looking for his forever family. He’s a gentle soul with lots of energy and is completely house trained and ready to settle into his new home. Smart and eager to please, after a few short days he’s already mastered ‘sit’ and ‘down’ and is highly food-motivated, making training a breeze. He’s still learning to walk nicely on leash as it’s new for him, but his intelligence and treat motivation make this an easy skill to develop.

Jazzy gets along with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion who can help guide his continued socialization and provide play opportunities. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves being your shadow – whether you’re working at the computer or relaxing on the couch, he’ll happily nap nearby. He comes when called and is ready to bond deeply with his new people.

Ideal home: dog owners with some experience to continue his training, a home with another well-balanced dog, or he could be the only dog, continued socialization opportunities.
