More About Martin
Martin, Harriet, Ida and Mae were rescued together from a home where they had been chained up their entire lives and as a result were very skinny, unhappy and starved for love and attention. Their owner called us to tell us to come and get them because she did not want them anymore, which is just as well because she was terrible at taking care of them! We grabbed these sweethearts and put their chains and her neglect in the rearview mirror. Harriet is the Mom, Martin, Ida and Mae are her pups. Mae has been adopted.
These pups are a testament to the amazing resilience of dogs. Despite the cruelty they had been subjected too they were still the most affection dogs from day one. They came home with one of the shelter staff on their first night because they clearly needed rescuing and attention, and due to overcrowding at the shelter they did not have anywhere else to put them immediately. Mom and her 3 pups got on well immediately with all her home dogs. They moved shortly after to Ocean Acres where they settled in nicely. They have a pen to themselves but mix with many other dogs when they have playtime. They are very easy going dogs with happy cheerful dispositions and would get along well in any kind of home. They are great with people and children, the volunteers all love them because they are so outgoing and approachable. They are always pleased to see our staff, excitedly wagging tails; such happy loving little dogs. They will be easy to find homes for and will bring so much joy and smiles to their future families every day.
Martin is approximately 20-25 lbs.
