More About Meidan

**UPDATE – Meidan has been adopted! He travelled to Canada on our MJET Freedom Flight on November 26th and has found a new home thanks to the generosity of our amazing friends here at MJet Barbados and our wonderful rescue partners in Canada.

Meidan turned up in someone’s garden one day and they called us.  He’s a handsome boy who likes attention.  He’s energetic and enjoys being active, going for walks and running around in the paddock.  He walks nicely on a lead.  He is not aggressive towards other dogs, but most don’t like his play style, which is ‘full on’.  Because of that he’s not a candidate for dog parks and it means that in our environment, at Ocean Acres, he has to live on his own, because we can’t supervise him with a partner or other dogs.  It’s possible that if living in a home, and with correct introductions, training and supervision, he could learn to behave in a more socially accepted way around other dogs.  He’s not negatively reactive when he sees a dog out walking.  Median has shown no signs of being overly possessive with his toys or food; and he could live happily with his humans as an only dog.  He is a confident dog and we think he’d be best in a home with an owner who would provide boundaries and training.  We don’t think Meidan can be trusted with cats.  For anyone who likes hiking or running, he would be an ideal companion.

Meidan is approximately 35lbs
