More About Paloma

In May 2021, Paloma was surrendered from a home where she had been chained to a dog house 24/7.  In the yard there was another male dog (that the people wouldn’t surrender) and her pup (Pablo).  They had no water and were terribly thin.  We took away Paloma and Pablo.  They came to Ocean Acres and began their journey to wellness.

Paloma is a shy girl, but she has come on quite well over the months.  She gets along well with other dogs and has shared with many, male and female, large and small.  She enjoys time outside playing and running in the paddocks.  She’s happy to walk on a leash and goes out for a walk daily – although she really needs an experienced handler to give her confidence.

Paloma has never lived in a home environment.  Although she has lived in a room with a tiled floor and won’t be scared of slipping like some dogs are the first time they encounter tiles or hard floors.

Next steps for Paloma would be one to one care and some home comforts.  She a beautiful, sensitive and intelligent dog.

Paloma is approximately 35-40 lbs.
