Scarlett
- Date Adopted: February 20, 2022
Scarlett is an adorable girl that came to us with her 3 sisters and 3 brothers – 7 puppies in all. They came from a place where their mother was chained and emaciated. They had not been cared for at all; other than by their mother, who had done her best, even though she was starving. They were in poor condition on arrival at about 5-6 weeks old and very immature. They had a heavy worm burden and lots of fleas. As usual, we cleaned them up, gave them the medication they needed and loved them. All the puppies thrived.
They were born with truncated/deformed tails – only one had a full tail. Scarlett has no tail at all, just a little stump, that wiggles and wags just like a tail would!
Fast forward to today and Scarlett is a happy joyful girl. Her shiny black coat glistens in the sun and she is a picture of health. She is a well balanced young lady, she enjoys playing with her friends and is exuberant, out going and friendly with visitors.
These puppies are LIVELY so very small children would have to be supervised as Scarlett and her siblings have not yet been taught not to jump up. I’m sure she would learn this very quickly given the chance.
Scarlett is more than ready to become a loved family member and companion and would adapt quickly to a forever home.
Scarlett is approximately 22 lbs.
