Ted

- Date Adopted: September 21, 2020
It was during our fundraiser in September that Teddy’s lovely forever family found him. We knew right away this was the home for him and very quickly did the home visit, which confirmed our thoughts that he belonged there.
Today, Teddy is a confident, happy dog. He occasionally comes back to visit and each time we are impressed with the progress he has made.
Teddy came to us literally from death row. His owner was determined he was to be put to sleep, because of multiple dog fights in her household. We asked for a chance with him and were so glad when he was delivered to us. The dog we saw was not aggressive – in fact, his torn ear and determination to turn himself inside out when approached told us he was the victim, not the perpetrator. He spent his time cowered in the corner of his kennel, terrified, tail between his legs when he was brought out for walking.
It took endless training, but slowly, his confidence grew. We slowly introduced him to other dogs and he showed no aggression. After multiple ‘playdates’ with our resident good girl, we determined it was time for them to live together. Teddy continued to improve and to enjoy life more and more.
Now Teddy lives like a king with his humans, enjoying the love and affection he deserves.
