More About Zack

Zack came to us with his sister Zelda as two tiny puppies in a cardboard box.  We received a call from a local resident to tell us that someone had left a box with these two pups in it just outside their house, so we popped over straightaway and collected them. They were so tiny and precious, we estimated them to be barely 5 weeks old, they were only as big as your hand!  They were in quite a state, covered in fleas.  We of course cleaned them up and treated them and they have done very well since.
Their temperaments are nearly identical as they are quite bonded, and should be placed together in the same home as a bonded pair to ensure their emotional well being and happiness.  When Zelda was taken away to be spayed, poor Zack was so sad and missed her so much he staged a protest and refused to eat until she returned! They have shared together their whole lives, so its understandable.
They are very happy dogs, currently living in a pen with 3 other dogs, and all get along extremely well. They are energetic and adorably lively.  They are very social and love to see people, they relish their time spent with our staff and volunteers.  Consequently we are confident they would fit well into many types of homes, their lovely disposition makes them well suited to get along with most. As they are still quite young they have not really had any training.  They are not badly behaved by any means, but as with most dogs, will benefit quickly from some basic obedience training.

Zack is approximately 28 lbs.
